Board Members

The Board meets quarterly to oversee and approve the current project and research directions.

Tjerk (Jack) Dusseldorp

Jack is the Executive Chairman of the Forum. He is also President of WorldSkills International. Jack has Degrees in Social Science and Law and his working life has included time with the NSW Law Foundation, the Evatt Foundation and headed up the Office of Youth Affairs in the second Hawke government.

He has also served as a Board member of the NSW TAFE Commission and the Australian Student Traineeship Foundation. In 2000, Jack received the Order of Australia Medal for services to education and to the community. He was awarded a Doctor of Social Science (Honoris Causa) by RMIT University in 2009.

Teya Dusseldorp

Teya Dusseldorp, an active DSF Board member since 2004, has a long-standing interest in improving educational and training opportunities for Indigenous young people throughout Australia.

Over the past decade Teya has played a key role in many of DSF’s projects, and as an independent documentary film maker she has produced a number of documentaries and educational videos.

Teya worked formerly as a human rights lawyer with the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission as an advisor to the Federal Race Discrimination Commissioner and with the National Inquiry into the Stolen Generations.

Teya has an Arts/Law degree from Sydney University, a Certificate in Film and Television Production from North Sydney TAFE and a Masters of Arts in Social Inquiry from UTS.

Lindie Clark

Lindie Clark is a Lecturer in the interdisciplinary Health Studies program at Macquarie University. For many years she worked for the Commonwealth Government in the employment, industrial relations and occupational health portfolios. In the mid-1990s she was awarded a Harkness Fellowship in Health Policy, which enabled her to complete a Master of Public Administration at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2002 she authored a biography of Dick Dusseldorp, founder of the Dusseldorp Skills Forum, highlighting the common interest philosophy which underpinned his highly successful business career.

Geoff McWilliam

Geoff was the head of the Commonwealth Bank’s property funds management and corporate real estate division, Colonial First State Property for almost 10 years following an extensive career in the property industry. He left the bank in 2005.

Geoff also has a long history with Lend Lease Corporation spanning over two decades. While at Lend Lease, Geoff worked in a variety of management roles, including Business Development Manager, Marketing Director and Chief Executive of Lend Lease Singapore, Malaysia and London.

Geoff is a director of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Limited, Challenger Listed Investments Limited, the St Laurence Group in New Zealand and the Dunmore Lang College at Macquarie University. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute.

Kerrie Stevens

Kerrie Stevens has been involved with the work of the Dusseldorp Skills Forum since its inception in 1989. As Program Director and later Executive Officer she has taken an active role in the development of many of the Forum's key initiatives bringing with her skills and knowledge developed over a long working career in a variety of organisations in the not-for-profit sector.

Jeff Townsend

Jeff Townsend has been a Principal of the Endeavour Consulting Group (a political lobbying and government relations consultancy) since its inception. He has significant experience in the politics of resource issues, indigenous affairs, infrastructure projects and environment issues.

Jeff worked for several years in the Prime Minister’s Department under both Coalition and Labor Governments. From 1983-85, he served as Senior Private Secretary to Prime Minister Hawke and was subsequently Chief of Staff to Trade Minister Dawkins. He occupied various senior positions in the Commonwealth bureaucracy. Following the establishment of self-government in the ACT, Jeff was Chief Executive of several ACT Government Departments, including the Chief Minister’s Department and the Department of Environment, Land and Planning.

Tom Dusseldorp

Tom Dusseldorp is a marketing executive within the private sector and a new member of the DSF board in 2010. Tom has grown up with DSF and has taken an active role in many of DSF skills projects over the years including early WorldSkills competitions and the 'Skills across the world' building initiative in Africa.

Tom's current role brings a youth perspective within the DSF board and through his marketing experience brings a stronger focus on the role of communications and creativity as a core part of any project or campaign.

Tom has an arts degree from UNSW and a number of certificates from strategic marketing courses attended at AFA throughout his career.

Rebecca Huntley

Dr Rebecca Huntley is a researcher and author with a background in publishing, academia and politics. She holds degrees in law and film studies and a PhD in Gender Studies.

Rebecca is a Director of The Ipsos Mackay Report, Australia’s longest running social trends study using a qualitative methodology. She is the author of two books, The World According to Y: Inside the New Adult Generation and Eating Between the Lines: food and equality in Australia.

Rebecca is a regular contributor to essay collections, magazines, newspapers and online publications and is a feature writer for Australian Vogue. She is a sought after commentator on social trends on radio, in print and on television.
