Current Koori Job Ready

Start 2011

Koori Job Ready run an eight-week intensive course in construction and hospitality for Aboriginal people in Darlington near Redfern. Beyond training, they negotiate jobs, traineeships and apprenticeships for their graduates and mentor them while they transition into the world of employment.

Key to Koori Job Ready’s success is the fact the majority of their trainers and mentors are Aboriginal, which creates a culturally comfortable space and positive role models for the students.

DSF has been working with Koori Job Ready to produce communications materials, including producing a 10 minute film and a 3 minute promo for Koori Job Ready Construction. The films promote the incredible impact Koori Job Ready has on its graduate’s lives. A job for their students is a life-changing event of the most positive kind. Please see the videos here…

DSF is also working with Koori Job Ready helping them strengthen their organisational foundation ensuring they can sustain their positive impact well into the future.
