Over twenty programs have been selected from Australia and overseas to send
a team (three students and one teacher/coordinator) to present Showcases at the
Learning Choices Expo, 2006. Teams have been selected by an independent panel
on the basis of their program quality, as well as the innovative and interesting
way in which they intend to present. The diversity of program types were taken
into consideration. Showcases will be student-led, interactive and imaginative
in their delivery.
Each showcase team will present for 40 minutes to approximately 35 delegates,
followed by 20 minutes of facilitated discussion with the audience. Teams have
been asked to talk about a challenge they are currently facing rather than just
a ‘show-and-tell’ there will be an opportunity for more in-depth
exploration of the issues.
Each of the selected Australian teams will be sponsored by the Dusseldorp Skills
Forum for travel, accommodation and registration costs for three students, including
the Conference Dinner and all Expo activities. DSF will also sponsor registration
costs, including the Conference Dinner, for the accompanying teacher or coordinator.
