One of the key ways DSF achieves it's aims is to work in partnership with other organisations, initiating practical projects that respond to some of the issues identified through our research. Here you will find the projects that DSF is currently involved with. We have also included some past projects that we believe might still be of interest.

Koori Job Ready run an eight-week intensive course in construction and hospitality for Aboriginal people in Darlington near Redfern. Beyond training, they negotiate jobs, traineeships and apprenticeships for their graduates and mentor them while they transition into the world of employment.

Situated behind the Martian Embassy and Gift Shop in Redfern, The Sydney Story Factory will be a fantastical place where the imagination is set loose andchildren get free help to write stories of all kinds.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that Dusseldorp Skills Forum has joined with Festo, ROMI and RMIT University and become one of the first four Founding Global Partners.

altBuilding on its experience in starting up the Career WorkKeys community based labour hire program on the Central Coast, Dusseldorp Skills Forum is working in partnership with Narrabri Shire Council, MAKE IT WORK, AgriFood Skills Australia, and Tocal College to pilot an innovative cross industry skills program aimed at breeding flexibility and responsiveness in local labour forces, building resilience into regional economies and retaining skills and people in regions.

Building on the success of Green Team 2008 the WorldSkills Australia National Skills competition was again home to the Green Team!  Student volunteers from event management teamed up with students from university environmental courses to find out how sustainable are the categories at a WorldSkills competition.Under the guidance of the lead auditor, ARUP, the Green Team conducted interviews with each of the skill areas and gathered data that became part of the Environmental Audit report, and established benchmarks & recommendations for improvement.

DSF is partnering with Dare to Lead and the Ernabella Anangu School to develop a form of industry / employment in a remote indigenous community that offers local jobs that provides real pathways from school to work. This is a huge challenge because so few young boys/men even engage in the upper secondary years in their education.
