Run Your Own

If you are interested in running your own mentor program then download our PIY manuals... you will find them an invaluable tool in helping you get started!

PIY Download Agreement

By downloading these materials you are agreeing to include the following core principles in your mentoring program:

  1. Mentors are trained using an accredited course
  2. Volunteer mentors commit to a relationship with their mentee for a negotiated period of time – ideally a minimum of 6 months
  3. Mentees participate voluntarily and are selected on the basis of their intention to leave school prior to completing Year 12 or its equivalent
  4. Mentors and Mentees meet regularly (approximately one hour each week) to investigate the Mentee’s post school options
  5. The project has a dedicated paid co-ordinator
  6. Post program destinations of PIY students are reported at consistent intervals – ideally at the end of the program and six months later.
