This
service, initiated in December 2002, provides a safe mode
of transport to the town's youth who otherwise are at the
mercy of local racists and police. The project hopes to
provide a circuit breaker between local youth and the judicial
system. It also aims to connect youth in need of social
protection with welfare organisations which can assist with
counselling and other youth services to prevent on-going
abuse of their rights. The service provides youth of Casino
with safe transport home three nights a week.
